Florida, CDC Cruise Line Lawsuit and Vaccine Passports


The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is allowing cruise ships to take sail this summer with a few restrictions and policies, including passengers being vaccinated. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted the public health agency for defying his executive order banning vaccine passports and the imposed penalties for requiring individuals to show proof of vaccination. Mediation between DeSantis and the CDC has failed. However, many potential passengers have already been vaccinated or, according to experts, are OK with the requirement.
