Former Atlanta Mayor Talks Politics As Voters Head to Polls

Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed joins “Prime” host Charles Blow to discuss all things politics, as voters head to the polls Tuesday, Oct. 12, for early voting in the city’s mayoral race.

Blow says addressing the city’s rise in crime, plans to hire more police and boosting law enforcement morale were all hot topics at Monday night’s debate. While more than two in five voters say they’re still undecided on who should secede Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, new polling points to Reed and City Council President Felicia Moore as frontrunners.

Reed said on “Prime” while he didn’t originally plan to join the mayoral race, he knows he’s the right person to reduce the level of crime and violence in Atlanta and maintain consistency with the city’s value. Former football star and MAGA supporter Herschel Walker is also making headlines for fundraising efforts that brought in $3.7 million since the start of his Republican senator campaign five weeks ago.

All this and more on “Prime w/ Charles Blow.”
