Former President Barack Obama joined Protect Our Care and health care advocates during a virtual event on Monday to discuss how millions were benefitted since the Affordable Care Act was passed 11 years ago.
Obama credits Protect Our Care and other grassroots organizers for doing the work to keep the ACA around for the Biden administration to continue to build upon.
Through the act more than 20 million have coverage and more than 130 million have the security of knowing that pre-existing conditions won’t prohibit them from healthcare coverage. He acknowledged the gaps within the system and urged Americans to continue pushing for change.
