'Fuzzy Math' In A Fight Over Funding: Plan To Shut Down ‘Failing Charter Schools’ Introduced In Pa.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has introduced a plan that would shut down what it considers to be “failing charter schools”

The biggest issue in the proposal is the changes made in funding.

The Department of Education believes it is overpaying for cyber charter schools in Pennsylvania, but the PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools says that’s not true.

Lenny McAllister, Director of the Western Pennsylvania for Commonwealth Foundation spoke with Roland Martin about the plan to shutter the failing charters in Pennsylvania.
