Georgia GOP Releases New Congressional Map, Limiting Black Power

Georgia Republicans unveiled a new congressional map that significantly increases the GOP’s chances of seizing an additional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republicans already have an 8-6 majority of the state’s congressional seats, but the proposed map shifts the 6th District from a competitive blue seat to a solidly red seat.

That district is represented by Rep. Lucy McBath, who entered politics to pursue racial justice after her 17-year-old son, Jordan Davis, was murdered.

Mary C. Curtis, host of the β€œEqual Time with Mary C. Curtis” podcast, and Cliff Albright, co-founder of Black Voters Matter, join Charles Blow on β€œPrime” to discuss.

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
