In Georgia, Republican leaders are shifting their focus to Fulton County.
They are seeking a performance review of election officials in the county. Under Georgia’s new voting laws, the State Election Board could suspend Fulton County’s election board, which is the local board that oversees the county’s election, if it finds evidence that officials violated state election laws three times since 2018, and haven’t fixed violations. They will appoint an administrator of their choice to preside over elections in the county.
