'Had To Beg To Be Treated:' Black Doc Dies Of COVID After Alleging Racist Mistreatment At Hospital

A black doctor who claimed she was mistreated because of her race while battling COVID-19 died in an Indiana hospital over the weekend.

Dr. Susan Moore was diagnosed with COVID on November 29th. She went viral on social media when she posted videos of her claiming she had to beg for a CT scan. She also posted a video where doctors at Indiana University Health hospital tried to send her home on December 4th.

Dr. Cleavon Gilman, an Emergency Medicine Physician and former Marine combat medic who served in Iraq spoke with Roland Martin about the heartbreaking loss of Dr. Moore and the struggle for equity in COVID care during Wednesday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered.
