Former President Barack Obama has felt the burden of being the first Black president leading America while dealing with racism.
There is a new documentary on HBO that narrates President Obamaβs personal and political journey, from being raised by a white single mother, to his final days in the White House and the role that race played in every step along the way. The documentary, βObama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union,β has a number of interviews from those close to him and his opponents.
Jelani Cobb, professor of journalism at Columbia University and one of the documentaryβs executive producers, joins Charles Blow on βPrimeβ to discuss the docuseries.
