‘Hip-Hop Advisor’ gives financial advice, talks investments on ‘Start Your Day’
Companies have taken a stand against Georgia’s new voting law, but can that impact their bottom line and ultimately your wallet? Rob Wilson, an expert who works at an independent financial and investment advisory firm in Pittsburgh, joined “Start Your Day” with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to offer financial advice. Wilson explained the difference between a 401K and an IRA. “I kind of have a love-hate relationship with 401Ks,” he said, citing the limited options employees have for investments. “It’s difficult for me to advise someone to invest in cryptocurrency in a major way,” he said, calling it a “speculative investment” and risky for some. He said you shouldn’t wait until you have money to invest. “Start where you are,” he said.
