The House Committee on Oversight and Reform session called, The Impact of the Supreme Courts Dobbs Decision on Abortion Rights and Access Across the United States, heard testimony from The National Women’s Law Center President and CEO Fatima Goss Graves. She told the panel about the legal implications of overturning Roe V. Wade.
Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland says the right to an abortion is a woman’s choice.
Across the way, the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee’s hearing examined reproductive care in a post-Roe America, focusing on barriers, challenges, and threats to women’s health.
Senator John Hickenlooper of Colorado shared a personal story of how his mother supported a woman’s right to choose.
Senator Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire says the overturning is more significant than just one law.
