How To Be A Caregiver For Someone With Alzheimer's Disease


The Food and Drug Administration is expected to announce the fate of a new, experimental treatment for Alzheimer’s. The disease affects more than six million Americans. It is estimated that African Americans are twice as likely as their white counterparts to develop Alzheimer’s disease. Caring for a loved one who has it can be overwhelming. Caregiver Coach Patricia Bailey, the founder of the community outreach program She Ages Well, joins “Start Your Day” with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to tell her personal story about being a caregiver for her mother and offer warning signs of the disease.
