‘I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump's Catastrophic Final Year’ on Trump Response to Floyd’s Murder

After George Floyd was murdered last year, former President Donald Trump along with the nation, were upset and outraged.

According to a new book called, “I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump’s Catastrophic Final Year,” Trump met privately with his advisors, who proposed a “toned down version of his disgust,” about Floyd’s murder. He eventually had a change of heart and tweeted, “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

Phil Rucker, who co-authored the book, joins Charles Blow on “Prime” to talk about Trump’s last year as president.

All this and more on “Prime.”
