In Remembrance of Civil Rights Legend and Educator Bob Moses

With democracy hanging in the balance, a civil rights legend passed away over the weekend.

Bob Moses died on Sunday at the age of 86 in his home in Hollywood, Florida. He was a civil rights activist, education advocate and one of the most wanted men in the South for his activism. Moses left a private high school teaching job in New York City to help register thousands of Black voters in Mississippi, where he was one of the founders of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. Also, he created the Algebra Project that helped low-income students excel at math.
