Initiative In Calif. Developing Database To Track Cops Who Resigned Or Were Fired For Wrongdoing

A new initiative is being developed to keep police departments accountable and track misconduct in California.

Named after the late civil rights leader John Lewis, the Lewis registry will be the first national database of police officers who have been terminated or resigned due to wrongdoing.

Dr. Erroll Southers, Director, Safe Communities Institute from the University of Southern California, where the database is being created spoke with Roland Martin during Wednesday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about the initiative to hold cops accountable.
