IOC Not Calling For Investigation Into Peng Shuai Assault Claims


Mark Adams, the spokesman for the International Olympic Committee, refuses to comment on whether the organization believes Peng Shuai has been speaking “under duress” during her recent interviews and meetings with IOC representatives.

Adams says he does not believe it’s the IOC’s job to decide if there should be an investigation or not.

The tennis star recently appeared at the Olympic games after being presumed in hiding following sexual assault allegations against a former high-ranking member of China’s ruling Communist Party.
