With 38 Electoral College votes at stake – the second-highest number in the country – Democratic success in Texas would all but eliminate a path to victory for Donald Trump on election day.
Jimmy Carter was the last Democratic presidential candidate to win Texas, in 1976. At the airing of Thursday’s edition of #RMU, former Vice President Joe Biden was running neck and neck with Trump.
Down ballot races in the state also indicate that the state is shifting towards becoming Democratic. Texas Congressman, Mark Veasey spoke with Roland Martin about what is happening in Texas in the final days before the 2020 election.
