Judge Approves Changes to Settlement To Eliminate Race Norming

A federal judge has approved new rules in the testing of former players to determine their eligibility to receive money from the NFL’s one-billion-dollar concussion settlement.

The revisions bring an end to the practice of race-norming, which were testing guidelines that made it harder for Black retirees to qualify for payments. Now, thousands of retired Black players can be retested or have their original tests rescored.

Attorney Cy Smith joins Yodit Tewolde on β€œMaking the Case” to talk about the announcement.

All this and more on β€œMaking the Case.”
