Legal Roundup: DOJ Places Moratorium on Federal Executions and More


Yodit Tewolde sits down with criminal defense lawyer Mark O’Mara and BNC’s legal contributor Paul Henderson to talk about legal news that may have been overlooked in light of Bill Cosby’s sexual assault overturned conviction.

Attorney General Merrick Garland placed a moratorium on federal execution. Under the Trump administration, federal executions were reinstated, where 13 people were put to death.

In other news, a deputy warden, Melvin Hilson, was indicted for beating an inmate in a Mississippi prison. He’s been charged with a felony civil rights offense.
