Louisiana Residents Still Without Power Because of Hurricane Ida

President Joe Biden visited New York and New Jersey today, surveying the damage from what remained of Hurricane Ida.

A week prior, he was in Louisiana where Ida made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane. The death toll has now risen to at least 17 in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi, and many are still facing water, food and gas shortages.

Almost 400,000 residents still do not have power, nine days later. Not to mention a continued heat index that has reached as high as 105 degrees in some areas today and hit 107 degrees last week.

Retired Lieutenant General Russel HonorΓ© and former mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu, join Charles Blow on β€œPrime” to discuss the post-storm issues in Louisiana.

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
