Louisville, Kentucky has settled Breonna Taylor’s wrongful death lawsuit. The city agreed to pay 12 million dollars to the family of Breonna Taylor. The settlement also includes a series of police reforms for the Louisville Metro Police Department to adopt.
The family sued the city after Louisville Metro Police broke down the door to Taylor’s apartment and fatally shot her. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced the settlement today in a press conference with the Taylor family’s attorney, 186 days after Taylor’s killing.
