For many Republican candidates on Election Day, critical race theory served as a useful scapegoat.
A recent USA Today poll shows how divided parents are when it comes to teaching about race. When asked about teaching of the ongoing effects of slavery and racism, Black parents supported the idea with 82%, while white parents’ support was at little over 50%.
