Start Your Day hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill discuss a tweet from actor Wendell Pierce where he reacted to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying that the controversy surrounding the interview has been a distraction from the coronavirus pandemic.
Hill and Reed say that the issues of racism and mental issues that Markle faced shouldn’t be brushed aside.
“Racism is a pandemic too,” said Reed. Adding that she didn’t like the tweet from the actor.
