In the midst of surging COVID-19 cases, more than two million people are traveling over this Labor Day weekend.
This comes despite the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation for anyone unvaccinated to avoid traveling and for those who have gotten their shots to weigh their options. A little more than 75% of Americans have received at least one vaccine dose, while only 53% of the nation is fully vaccinated. Dr. Farhan Bhatti is a family physician in Michigan and the CEO of Carefree Medical, a nonprofit organization that provides medical care to low-income, underinsured and uninsured people.
