The biggest question is how parents care for their well-being during a surge in the omicron variant. This may be especially important for parents for preschoolers.
Many health experts say the risk can be dependent on the number of adults in the home who can bring the virus back to the home.
The CDC has also issued new guidance for children that applies to preschoolers as well. If a child tests positive for COVID-19, that student stays home but the rest can stay in school.
