NYC Gets Rid of Gifted Program for Elementary Schools


New York Cityโ€™s public school system announced that itโ€™s getting rid of its gifted and talented program for elementary schools, replacing it with an accelerated learning format, without separating students into different classes.

Critics accused the gifted and talented program of being โ€œracially skewed.โ€
