When I left corporate America to serve in the entertainment industry, my goal was to help artists build empires like the Fortune 100 brand I was working for. I thought if I could take all of the gifts I was pouring into a global company worth billions, then I could do that for individuals.
๐ต
Top goals on my list:
1. get my sister MC Lyte her domain www.mclyte.com – DID THAT
2. get trademarks for her legendary stage name along with all of her other brands. – DID THAT
There were insurmountable legal challenges along the way, but @michellejmilleresq DID THAT IN JESUS NAME!
Today, I own the exclusive rights to the name LYNN RICHARDSON ยฎ๏ธ – no one can use that name for anything in all of the protected classes where I operate: finance, motivational speaking, personal development, leadership, educational endeavors and sooooooo many more!

For years I was signed to a major label and they owned the rights to my name. I created the name Lyte in 1985 that helped solidify my career in Hip Hop. I signed to the infamous @firstprioritymusic and they added the MC, appropriately due. We were blessed to sign a huge deal with a major label. Not too long ago I received a call from the OG Nat Robinson who shared the copyright the label owned of my name was about to expire and if I wanted to grab it I should do it now. I put COO @lynnrichardson on top of it and she put it in the hands of Trademark Attorney @michellejmilleresq and the rest is history! Thank you to all involved!๐๐๐ฝ๐๐๐ฝ
