Pause of Student Loan Payments Relieves Economic Burden on Students


Economic woes brought on by the pandemic have made financial stability for millions of American households increasingly difficult to maintain.

For approximately 41 million Americans, the pause on federal student loan payments relieved one of the most ominous economic burdens on their households.

The White House announced that President Joe Biden will indeed extend student loan payment relief until May 1.

It comes as welcomed news to many Americans, especially African Americans as roughly 86% of Black students have federal student loan debt.
