Senate Democrats have agreed to press pause on Build Back Better negotiations with Joe Manchin to allow a “cooling off” period between the West Virginia senator and President Joe Biden.

The pause will allow senate Democrats to shift their focus towards voting rights, which they plan to bring to the floor and filibuster reform.
