President Joe Biden and the vice president ended up including some lines in their Jan. 6 anniversary speeches on the importance of voting rights, although the vice president was the only one who directly emphasized passing the voting rights bills currently stalled in the Senate.
However, as the window to protect voting rights narrowly closes, states continue to make moves that are raising new concerns.
NPR has just released new analysis which finds that at least 15 Republicans who questioned the 2020 election results are now running to be the lead election officers in 13 states.
