President Joe Biden paid a visit to lawmakers on Capitol Hill as a Hail Mary effort to salvage his economic agenda.
The president spent close to an hour on Capitol Hill to calm tensions between moderates and progressives who are still miles apart on the administration’s infrastructure and reconciliation bills.
The delayed vote also represents the growing power of progressives within the Democratic Party, and it is a solidarity that moderates may eventually be forced to concede to.
