U.S. Capitol police held a press conference on 4/2/2021 that a suspect drove into two officers at the north barricade of the Capitol and rammed into the barricade.
Law enforcement confirmed that one of the police officers was killed and that the suspect is also dead.
Names of the officer and the suspect has not been released and the motive is unclear.
