Say What? Massive Backlash Against JAMA Network For Podcast Claiming There's No Racism In Medicine

The JAMA Network recently posted a podcast entitled Structural Racism for Doctors: What Is It?”

The Journal of the American Medical Association is a peer-reviewed medical journal published 48 times a year by the American Medical Association. It publishes original research, reviews, and editorials covering all aspects of biomedicine.

They promoted the podcast on Twitter with a tweet that began, no physician is racist. Of course, that was met with a lot of push back.

Dr. Leon McDougle, President Elect, National Medical Association, Dr. Isha Kooree and Dr. Georges C. Benjamin, Executive Director of the American Public Health Association spoke with Roland Martin during Monday’s edition of #RMU to discuss the JAMA podcast and structural racism in medicine.
