It was the first day of the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
If she is confirmed, she will be the first Black woman to be a Supreme Court Justice. Sen. Cory Booker couldn’t hide his excitement over Jackson’s nomination to the nation’s highest court.
“This is not a normal day for America. We have never had this moment before,” Booker says.
