Dr. Aysha H. Khoury who was a member of the founding faculty at Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine believes she was unjustly suspended and fired from the institution.
Aysha was asked to lead a group discussion with students about police brutality following events like the shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin where police opened fire on Jacob Blake, paralyzing him from the waist down. She said the conversation was authentic, emotional and students were engaged. But, she was suspended and then fired after someone complained about “certain classroom activities that took place.”
Dr. Aysha H Khoury spoke with Roland Martin during Thursdayโs edition of #RMU about being suspended and fired from the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine and about racism in the medical profession.
