Sista SCOTUS on Confirmation Hearings for Ketanji Brown Jackson

In her opening statement today, Ketanji Brown Jackson spoke about her parents and brother, a former police officer and military veteran.

She acknowledged trailblazers of the past like Constance Baker Motley, the first Black woman appointed to the federal bench in 1966.

This nomination is the result of the hard work put in by organizations across the country, but none more important than the work done by Sista SCOTUS, an organization that has long advocated to get a Black woman on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Kimberly Tignor, one of the co-founders of Sista SCOTUS, joins Yodit Tewolde on โ€œMaking the Caseโ€ to discuss.

All this and more on โ€œMaking the Case.โ€
