Senator Mitch McConnell has made it his mission to block any legislation designed to help the African American community. Rep. Charles Booker is running to unseat him in the 2020 election.
Ousting “Moscow Mitch” would be a major step in upending Republican obstruction in the Senate.

Booker said of what needs to be done in Kentucky, “We can stand up and push for structural change or we can play the status quo that makes us lose over and over again.”
