Senator Lindsey Graham denied the presence of Systemic Racism in the United States. Citing the two terms of former President Barack Obama and the recent inauguration of Vice President Kamala Harris, he said, “America is a work in progress, but best place on the planet.”
“Start Your Day” hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill reacted to Graham’s comments. Hill said the country will not see progress as long as people think the way Graham does. “If you can’t say there is racism in this country, then maybe you’re a racist,” Hill said. “You cannot heal what you don’t reveal.” Reed agreed and said the curtain needs to be ripped back. “Lindsey Graham is a disgraced American,” she said. “They need to be led out of their dark, deep, disgusting place of ignorance.”
