Hideki Matsuyama won the 85th Masters Tournament on Sunday making him the first Japanese man and second Asian man to win the competition. He carried a four-stroke lead into the final round and finished the competition with a score of 10 under par. Fans in Japan and across the world welcomed his win with joy and emotional celebrations of triumph. During a press conference after his victory, he said it is “thrilling” to have young children in Japan looking up to him. “Start Your Day” hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill celebrated his win.
