A new CBS News YouGov poll found that 67% of Black Americans say they strongly or somewhat strongly approve of President Joe Biden, down from 85% in July.
National Voter Protection Action Fund founder Don Calloway joins “Prime” host Charles Blow to discuss the statistics and Democrats’ ability to deliver and pass important agenda items, as voters grow more and more impatient and disillusioned. Blow says Democrats are staring down real danger for multiple reasons, including failing to get crucial agenda items done and not moving quickly enough.
America is still not anywhere closer to passing voting rights legislation, police reform negotiations officially broke down, the administration’s handling of Haitian immigrants was a failure and COVID-19 is still killing far too many Americans. All of these issues, among others, decreases Biden’s approval rating, with now only 44% of Americans saying they approve of Biden’s handling of issues, the lowest level since he took office.
