President Elect Joe Biden has tapped Susan Rice to run the White House Domestic Policy Council. Rice is Barack Obama’s Former National Security Adviser and the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
She was vetted to serve as Biden’s Vice President and she was a contender to be Secretary of State, however that position went to Antony Blinken.
According to reports Biden’s team was looking to find a high profile role for Susan and they thought this was the perfect fit.
However, many are shocked that Biden selected her for this role given Rice’s expertise and experience with foreign policy.
