The 20-Year Anniversary of the Sept. 11 Attacks

Today is the 20 year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on American soil.

It was a day that changed the United States and the world forever as 2,996 people lost their lives on that tragic day. The World Trade Center, Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania were attacked by four hijacked planes on that fateful day.

The 9/11 attacks would lead to America’s longest war in Afghanistan, which ended on Aug. 30 this year, and the 10 year manhunt of Osama Bin Laden, in which he was killed in 2011.

BNC will honor the memories of the victims, hear the stories of survival and look at the path forward after two decades of war.
