According to today’s released Census report, the white population in the United States declined over the decade for the first time on record.
Since the 1960s, people who identify themselves as white on the census form have been decreasing.
People who identify as Hispanic and Asian surged, and the number of people who said they were more than one race increased, making the United States grow significantly more diverse over the past 10 years.
The growth, although slow that did occur — with an increase of about 23 million people. That growth was made up entirely of people who identified as Hispanic, Asian, Black, and more than one race.
