As the future of Roe v. Wade remains uncertain, Jan. 22 marks the 49th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision that granted women in every state the right to an abortion.
However, over the last year, anti-abortion activists have ramped up efforts to overturn this ruling with a record 106 legal restrictions being issued on abortions around the country.
Over in Mississippi, the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is another attempt to implement abortion bans.
