Fam, meet Kevin Nichols, he is the Founder, President & CEO of an Oakland based, Google and Microsoft funded social impact venture with Stanford University called The Social Engineering Project, Inc.
The venture is designed to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry through four STEM pipeline programs.
These pipelines lead to technical career pathways for underrepresented students of color. The four programs are “Science in the City,” “Overnight Camping Conference,” “Family Science Night” and “Global Hackathons”.
Nichols spoke with Roland Martin during Wednesday’s edition of #RMU about how his program is paving the way for minority students to make their entry into the tech workforce.
