'They Feel That They Don't Owe Us Anything': Dionne Warwick On Artists' Ongoing Radio Royalty Fight

Recording artists and musicians are fighting for their right to collect royalties from AM and FM radio stations.

The American Music Fairness Act would require AM/FM radio stations to pay royalties to musicians and vocalists.

Currently, only songwriters are paid royalties by radio stations.

Five-time Grammy Award-winning Singer Dionne Warwick says the recently unveiled legislation should have happened when Frank Sinatra brought the issue to congress 60 years ago and that it’s flat-out procrastination on politicians’ part.

Warwick joined Roland Martin during Tuesday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered to discuss the ongoing fight artists and musicians are waging to secure royalties from AM and FM radio stations.
