Vanessa Bryant can get the names of four Los Angeles County Sheriff Department officers who shared photos of the helicopter crash site that killed her husband NBA icon Kobe Bryant and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant, a federal judge ruled.
‘Start Your Day’ hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill discuss the controversy surrounding the grisly photos. Both agree that people should be held accountable for taking these crash site photos, especially as a way to use death for attention.
“You can’t really legislate integrity,” Reed said. “But I do believe public shaming is appropriate Public shaming is good and necessary sometimes. The fact that a judge says, ‘Yes, you can name these officers,’ [is good] because so many times we cover up police misconduct.”
