We're Not Going Back To Jim Crow: Black Men Rally On The Hill For Voting Rights, Filibuster Reform

Georgia Representative Hank Johnson, Cliff Albright, co-founder of Black Voters Matter, and Francys Johnson from the New Georgia Project were among 10 men arrested by Capitol Police outside the Hart Senate Office Building today during voting rights protests.

Capitol Police took them into custody after being warned they were demonstrating without a permit and blocking the entrance to the building.

The demonstration began in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, where Johnson, Albright, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee demanded Congress reform the filibuster and pass both the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For The People Act.

Cliff Albright, Co-Founder, Black Voters Matter and Dr. Wes Bellamy, Chair of Advocacy of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. joined Roland Martin on #RMU to discuss the protest and the ongoing fight for voting rights.
