Dallas County Commissioners Court voted to prioritize vaccines for individuals in mostly Black and Latino neighborhoods. This makes sense, given the fact communities of color have been hit the hardest by Covid-19.
However, Texas health officials pushed back and told Dallas leadership that the plan was “not acceptable” and they threatened to cut the county’s vaccine supply.
Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price recently spoke with Roland Martin about this egregious attempt to circumvent the plan to protect vulnerable communities of color in Dallas.
