Yodit Tewolde on Wrongful Conviction of Black Man who Spent Over a Decade in Prison

Yodit Tewolde talks to Teri Himebaugh, founder and executive director of the Police Transparency Project, about the case of Obina Onyiah, a Black man who spent more than ten years behind bars. He was exonerated for a robbery and murder he didn’t commit.

Two detectives involved in the Oniyah’s false confession beat Onyiah and have a history of falsifying evidence. They still work for the Philadelphia Police Department.

All this and more on β€œMaking the Case.”
