NY Attorney General Letitia James Plans To Announce Run for Governor


According to the Associated Press, New York Attorney General Letitia James plans to run for governor.

James is the first Black person and first woman to serve in the role of the state’s top prosecutor and she came into office promising criminal justice reform. She burst onto the national scene for prosecuting Trump’s finance guru and for investigating the sexual assault allegations against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

If elected, James would be the nation’s first Black woman governor.
